Strategic purchasing and electronics category managers have been struggling for years: Confusing Excel parts lists and ERP systems that are often not designed to use electronics industry-specific data and extract added value from it.

Either procurement decisions are still made on a project basis or annual requirements planning takes several weeks and has to be redone at the slightest change.
