Insights from interviews with over 100 OEMs and EMS companies

Over the last few months, our founder Timon Ruban has interviewed over 100 OEMs and EMS companies. From companies with 500 employees to over 100,000 employees.

Among others, we spoke with Mario Bruggmann, a longtime electronics purchasing expert, who we now welcome as a guest speaker in this webinar.

Mario has held procurement and supply chain management positions in electronics-driven industries for over 25 years. Today he is the “Supply Chain Innovator”, and acts as an interim manager mainly for medium-sized companies.

Why you should attend & what you will learn:

Our central topic revolved around electronics procurement: During the discussions, it quickly became clear that most companies had the same challenges: a lack of transparency for electronics components in the supply chain and across internal products.

Strategic purchasing and electronics category managers have been struggling for years: Confusing Excel parts lists and ERP systems that are often not designed to use electronics industry-specific data and extract added value from it.

Either procurement decisions are still made on a project basis or annual requirements planning takes several weeks and has to be redone at the slightest change. Some even treat the entire PCBA as a “cost driver”, which is a gross oversimplification and can be very costly for many potential customers.

Who should attend?

This webinar is ideal for OEM and EMS including:

  • Strategic Procurement Professionals

  • Category/Commodity Managers

  • Value and Cost Engineers

  • Supply Chain Manager
